Coalinga High School Teacher Mrs. Debi Bonilla Receives Special Honor
California League of High Schools (CLHS), Region 7 has recognized Mrs. Debi Bonilla of Coalinga High School as the CLHS Region 7 Educator of the Year. Mrs. Bonilla, an English teacher, was honored at the CLHS banquet held in Fresno on November 16th. Mrs. Bonilla was nominated by her principal, Margo Fisher.
Each year, throughout the State, schools nominate teachers, administrators, and counselors to their regional panels and eight to ten finalists are selected. From the finalists, one winner is announced at the regional banquet. There are eleven regions in California and Region 7 stretches from Kern County in the South to Merced County in the North. Mrs. Bonilla will now represent Region 7 at the State Conference in Sacramento, California in February. Great Job Mrs. Bonilla!
